Magical Heeling

Training competition heeling is HARD for most people & dogs! There are so many more components to it than people realize!

Many methods teach what I call “functional heeling”. The dog knows the position and moves with the handler, stopping when they stop, etc.

But there is also what I call “Magical Heeling”. This is the heeling that is beautiful and makes you want to stop and watch. The dog and handler look like they are dancing and fully connected. The dog not only knows it’s job- it LOVES IT!

If you want to perform the magical heeling, it will take a significant focus on ALL the aspects of the behavior as they relate to YOUR DOG and YOU. Some dogs just have an easier time of it and seem to naturally love heeling. Other dogs stay in position, but it is a struggle for them and the connection is work. Some of that might be the dog’s conformation, or it is very likely the WAY that heel position and its expectations were explained to the dog. The clearer you are in explaining every component involved, and breaking out each piece to teach and strengthen it individually, the better your dog will understand it and perform (& enjoy the learning process!)

Training sessions

Sessions are $100 for 4 sessions booked at your convenience, or $30 each if paid individually.
Payment is done when you arrive and I can accept cash, check or paypal. Sessions are one-on-one, personalized to what you and your dog need to do your best learning.
